Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals with the purposes of: recognizing outstanding academic achievements in the fields of accounting, finance, and information systems; promoting the study and practice of professional fields related to these disciplines; providing opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals; and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibilities.

 

          Our Theta Pi chapter pursues the purpose of our organization with our mission to promote professionalism, scholastic excellence, and career-oriented networking opportunities to financial information students of Missouri State University.  Our chapter’s vision is for our students to be best students today to become the best professionals tomorrow.

 

          Members and alumni of the Theta Pi chapter agree that Beta Alpha Psi a great organization to join to network with other students and industry professionals. It is often said that the most important takeaway from becoming a member of Beta Alpha Psi is making those connections that will last a lifetime.  Being a member of Beta Alpha Psi’s Theta Pi chapter will help you to stand out in comparison to other college students, and it’s known to be a positive addition to any resume. The Theta Pi chapter also places an emphasis on volunteer work to encourage service to the community. In fact, over 65% of members or alumni recently surveyed said they also take part in volunteering outside of Beta Alpha Psi service events. This shows the Theta Pi chapter fosters a sense of social responsibility and service to those in need. Another major part of what makes the Theta Pi chapter unique is our dedication to the Best Practices competitions. Best Practices has helped members to develop effective organization, leadership, teamwork, and presentation skills, which helps them to excel in their professional lives.
